Job Description

ABOUT THE JOB

Mentor, coach, and lead a production team to execute performance goals. This role is responsible for assessing team member skill sets, setting priority, and improving process and efficiency within the assigned functional area. Not only will you ensure the team is doing things correctly, in accordance with Standard Operating Procedures and Quality Standards, you will address exceptions, troubleshoot, and identify appropriate corrective action.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Lead by example and act as a role model to other Associates.Supervise and prioritize the day-to-day activities within the assigned department(s).Ensure key operating metrics are achieved by focusing on safety, quality, on-time delivery, cost, and creating a culture of continuous improvement.Support and foster an environment that enhances our Positive Associate Relations (PAR) culture.Identify opportunities for improvement and determine corrective action, engaging leadership as needed. Coordinate and control work activities, including breaks, production, downtime, scrap reporting, etc. Identify training needs and support training initiatives.Create, maintain, and audit Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) and continually look for ways to improve department efficiency.Collaborate with associates, leaders, EH&S, and HR to interpret, apply, and/or consistently enforce all company policies, programs, rules, regulations, and safety rulesPromote clean, safe work areas throughout the plant by continuously checking for and resolving hazardous conditions.Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

QUALIFICATIONS:

This role is for internal candidates (Solar Innovations Associates) onlyA combination of education and experience, generally acquired through the attainment of a high school diploma, or equivalent.3 - 5 Years of Solar Innovations Manufacturing experience, preferably with a minimum of 2 years in the designated department.Strong understanding of department knowledge, safety, productivity, quality, and service. Strong problem-solving, decision-making, and conflict resolution skills.Able to display a positive and approachable demeanor, while effectively directing other team members.Must be able to maintain a ‘role model’ reputation throughout the Company, while also creating good working relationships with all plant personnel.Demonstrated professionalism (communicating in a respectful, professional, and timely manner).Leads by example.Maintains a pattern of regular, consistent attendance.Must have intermediate computer skills and knowledge
