Job Description:

We’re looking for a Team Leader, AML Alert Review to join our Integrated Compliance Services team at MBPS. Integrated Compliance Services (ICS) First Line Team Leader will be responsible in supervising the daily activities of an operations or business support. Performing Quality Checking and providing monthly report to Business Unit. Having strong leadership skills and support the manager and tower lead in executing strategic initiatives of ICS.

Key Responsibilities:

Leadership

Coordinates resources and sets daily priorities to meet operational objectives.Performing Quality Checking for AML Task.Serve as a process expert and Handle escalations on a timely manner.Review, collect, and summarize quality control and business reports monthly.Providing performance coaching for team members.Providing training and preparing process documents to new hires. Conducts or assists with performance evaluations that are timely and constructive.Collaborate with leaders and managers in ensuring talent development of team members and team engagement through execution of ICS initiatives.

Risk

Ensure all pertinent policies and guidelines of Manulife are being followed by team members and timely completion of Mandatory Compliance Training.Ensuring all documents are timely reviewed and placed within a secured repository.

Stakeholder Management

Manage stakeholder expectations through appropriate engagement and timely status reporting on operational highlights.

Center of Expertise

Present baseline review of the team’s process for Business Unit to discuss key opportunities and recommendation.

Ad hoc Assignments

Managing Team Members Performing 1st Level Name Scanning for the following segments:

HongkongCarry out ad-hoc tasks/projects as requested by Manager and/or BU.

Asia Segment – HK (IFP & Retirement)

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Legal, Finance, Business, or related fieldsMust have at least 1 year experience in Compliance or any related AML task. Minimum 1-2 years of relevant experience in Leadership role preferred but not required.Work experience in finance or insurance operations is preferred but not required.For internal candidates: Should not have any attendance issues or disciplinary action and consistent in meeting/exceeding metrics and job requirement in the past 12 months.The ability to work independently and efficiently in a team oriented, high demand and fast paced environment. Careful and attentive to detail even when under time –constraints.Good interpersonal and communication skills (both verbal and written).             Ability to work efficiently in team oriented, high demand and fast paced environment.Strong problem solving and decision-making skills.Strong relationship and client management skills.Professional attitude and client service orientation; collaborative and results oriented.Participation in any creation or implementation of business improvement initiatives.
