Georgia Power Company (GPC); Reliability Engineering Team Leader – Distribution Reliability
Location: Daily reporting location is flexible. The Distribution Reliability Engineering Team Lead will support a team of reliability engineers and enhanced power quality specialists and travel will occasionally be required to support their efforts. If you work remotely, your schedule may change from time to time to accommodate special projects, storm restoration, customer needs or other aspects of your job.
This role is responsible for multiple aspects of GPC Distribution Reliability strategy, execution and development of personnel.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
Education / Certification Requirements:
4-year Accredited Bachelor of Science in Engineering degree or equivalent required Professional Engineer's License is a plusExperience Requirements:
Power Delivery Field Engineering and Operating experience is required. Technical knowledge in Distribution Reliability, Distribution Planning, system protection, and/or DER interconnections is preferred.Knowledge, Skills, Abilities:
Proven knowledge of the Distribution systems, policies, and procedures, demonstrates understanding of Section 0, Distribution Bulletins and SDOP Recognized proficiency in Southern Company leadership competencies in previous positions and understanding of customer service needs Communicates well through written reports, well organized presentations, and oral discussions Interacting with internal and external customers on technical and political issues Ability to deal with heavy workloads, multiple tasks, and conflicting demands Ability to effectively engage at all levels of GPC and SO leadership hierarchy Experience using Microsoft Office tools is a plus.Behavioral Attributes:
