Position Summary:
As Team Leader of Finance Operations, your role will involve leading a large group of individuals responsible for timely and accurate transactional processing. The primary objective is to achieve all operational targets, while ensuring adherence to Service level agreements (SLAs). Additionally, you will be expected to meet the company's targets for effective team management and engagement.
The role would suit a candidate with excellent rapport building ability, strong leadership and people management skills. Passion to achieve critical metrics are crucial to fully grasp the complexity of the role.
Responsibilities:
o Lead employees and teams of employees, by setting and monitoring performance goals and objectives, prioritizing of activities, and ensuring timely and effective decision making and issue resolutions.
o Support the talent development strategy within the function through regular 1-1 discussions.
o Responsible for achieving direct team’s target by daily management of Key Performance Indicators.
o Effectively work with the Treasury team to ensure smooth operation of bank accounts.
o Deliver clear and pro-active communication and business partnering with support business divisions and key global partners (e.g: Accounting teams, Treasury etc.)
o Drive a culture of continuous process improvements with the goal of creating lean processes and standardization.
o Ensure the performance of all tasks is carried out in line with company policies, internal controls and Sarbanes-Oxley requirements.

• Additional tasks will include:
o Engage with the GPO organization, IT and external enabling technology software supplier where required to call out any system related issues.
o Collaborate effectively with Internal and External Audit teams to ensure timely and accurate completion of testing procedures.
o Undertake other projects and responsibilities as assigned.

• Skills:
Strong leadership skills, ability to inspire and motivate team members, develop and mentor teams set clear expectations, and provide guidance and support.
Effective communication skills are critical in order to convey expectations, provide feedback, and lead successful discussions.
Strong problem-solving skills to handle complex situations, identify root causes, and develop effective solutions.
Excellent organizational skills to prioritize tasks and projects and adhere to set timelines.
Flexibility and adaptability to changing business needs and priorities.
Excellent attention to detail to ensure accuracy in documentation and reporting.
Solid understanding of basic and advanced accounting principles
• Qualifications and experience:
Fluent in English.
University or College degree in accounting, or equivalent professional qualification is an advantage, but not required.
Functional process expertise within Accounting Operations.
Previous experience in a leadership position in a fast-paced environment is required.
SME system knowledge in multiple ERPs (example: Oracle E1, SAP) and third party enabling software is essential to perform this role effectively and efficiently.
Excellent digital literacy and knowledge of the Microsoft Office software is required (Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.).
