performing tasks in the work area on a daily basis within the team including: being an on-the-floor work participant with associatescovering for unplanned absences and vacationsunderstanding and maintaining all department reports and procedurescoordinating breaks and lunch schedulesoverseeing and understanding the maintenance of equipment, PM's and work ordersassisting managers with scheduling of associatesunderstanding production and ability to execute department requirementsmaintaining Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs) promoting and enforcing quality and food safety standardsbeing a role model for associatesplanning and conducting job skill training for all associates including writing Skill Breakdown Sheets (SBSs) and conducting Job Instruction Training (JIT)leading and driving improvement of plant operationsanalyzing and understanding KPI's and dataperforming the day to day tasks and responsibilities of the Department Manager/Assistant Department Manager in their absence, such as production scheduling and planning andother duties as assigned.
