Responsibilities:

Coordinate and assist with evaluating and training all personnel within the designated area of responsibility.

Perform all duties outlined in the Transport position, ensuring the efficient transportation of patients and equipment.

Report any issues, concerns, or suggestions to the Shift Supervisor to maintain operational effectiveness.

Organize and coordinate monthly in-service training sessions for the department, in collaboration with the Manager.

Maintain control over the location, inspection, and upkeep of wheelchairs and stretchers to ensure they are operational and safe.

Support Supervisors in conducting monthly system-wide competencies for current staff, ensuring all personnel are proficient in their roles.

Foster positive working relationships with unit personnel and Supervisors, promoting effective communication and teamwork.

Ensure all team members complete their assigned duties and report to their designated locations, maintaining workflow efficiency.

In the absence of the Shift Supervisor, temporarily assume supervisory responsibilities, including decision-making and oversight of daily operations.

Maintain a professional, courteous demeanor at all times, ensuring appropriate communication with patients, visitors, hospital personnel, and colleagues.
