Team Leader : Health & Benefits Consulting

We are seeking a talented individual to join our Health & Benefits team at Mercer. This role will be based in our Philippines office.

This is a hybrid role that has a requirement of working at least three days a week in the office.

The Team Leader : Health & Benefits Consulting will lead health consulting for small and medium clients, directly impacting their benefits strategy and employee satisfaction while collaborating with a dynamic team to enhance service delivery and solution design.

We will count on you to:

Gain a deep understanding of Mercer’s advisory and digital solutions to support client RFPs and consulting capability presentations.

Actively manage the pipeline across various advisory solutions and conduct monthly revenue reporting and forecasting to the Mercer Consulting Leader.

Collaborate with the Mercer Consulting Leader, Sales Leader, and Client Management Leaders to build and support advisory solutions strategy for new business and client retention.

Write and present client proposals, actively leading the delivery of consulting projects to drive overall revenue growth for the Mercer Consulting team.

Demonstrate project management skills, ensuring the quality and timeliness of deliverables.

Lead or participate in C-suite level client meetings to discuss project objectives, budgets, timelines, and deliverables.

Support financial analysis and review, including underwriting, data analytics, and partnership with the Mercer Analytics Leader.

Develop overall client strategy, interpret, and present benchmark data to clients, ensuring that plan and program changes align with the client’s strategy.

Peer-review the internal output of junior consultants, analyze and interpret results, and finalize executive summary reports, ensuring compliance with professional standards.

Adapt to evolving business landscapes by staying informed about market needs, trends, and the competitive landscape.

Analyze complex business challenges, develop solutions, and articulate them effectively to clients.

What you need to have:

8+ years of experience in benefits consulting, project management, business development, and account management.

Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Business Administration, Communication, Psychology, Mathematics, or a related field.

Strong understanding of the life and health insurance industry.

Excellent people management, time management, presentation, and problem-solving skills; highly proficient in MS PowerPoint.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to effectively communicate complex ideas to clients and team members.

Strong analytics skills and proficiency in data analysis, processing, and visualization tools.

Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously.

Ability to develop and maintain strong client relationships.

A growth mindset with a positive attitude towards work and learning.
