Team Leader

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

Responsible for working with the Production Supervisor to ensure safety, quality & production targets are met

Assist with managing labor

Help ensure all policies and procedures are being followed thru out the shift

Oversee that housekeeping is being maintained and assist when needed

Assist with the implementation of lean principles and continuous improvement

Serve as backup to the Production Supervisor

Understand all the requirements of the LOTO program and monitor compliance

Understand all requirements of the No Tolerance Policy and monitor compliance

Assist with incident investigations

Monitor machine operation to ensure accountability of parts.

Evaluate product to ensure high quality and conformance with established standards.

Know the location of the SDS Safety Data Sheets and how to utilize properly.

Work with the warehouse to ensure the proper flow of raw materials & finished goods on the production floor is occurring

All other duties as assigned

Member of the HACCP team upon request

EDUCATION:

Required: High School diploma or GED

EXPERIENCE:

Required: 1-2yrs min experience in management/leadership

                  3-5yrs min experience in manufacturing

Preferred: 3-4yrs min experience in management/leadership

6-8yrs min experience in manufacturing

SKILLS:

Required: Good communication skills, basic computer skills, ability to interact positively with people

Preferred: Forklift experience, mechanical aptitude

SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS (if applicable): This position requires the cognitive and mental ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment with attention to detail.
