Job Summary:                                                    

CASES is currently seeking a Team Leader to join the Intensive Services Unit (ISU) within Pretrial Services. Team leader assumes full responsibility for all the operational and programmatic needs for the staff and the clients they serve. The Team Leader is tasked with direct supervision and oversight of the Assistant Team Leader and the master's Level and Clinical Staff on the team. In this role, the Team Leader represents their borough as part of the leadership team alongside their Borough Director and may be tasked with specific projects that can arise at different times to assist with the team's overall functioning.  

 

Salary:  The salary for the Team Leader is $85,000 per year. 

Shift Hours/Days: Tuesday - Saturday 11am-7pm.

Workplace Flexibility: Flexible-Positions for which staff have flexibility to complete their workday from home or another suitable space, typically after reporting to the office and/or engaging in field or community-based work.

What you will be doing: 

Provide direct oversight and management of the multi-disciplinary Intensive Services Unit by ensuring the effective delivery of services such as community supervision, field-based supervision, outreach, crisis intervention and counseling.Team Leader will facilitate regularly occurring team meetings and morning “huddles” to direct clear guidance on daily program operations, review cases collaboratively and inspire ongoing discussion on emerging participant trends.During the startup phase and at different points, the Team Leader will provide direct field-based services to provide coverage for staff and model the expected level of service for newly hired staff.Provide direct supervision to the Assistant Team Leader and approximately 4-line staff by conducting weekly clinical supervision and daily support for regular program operations. Implement risk management protocols, case reviews, staff supervision protocols, incident reporting and other administrative oversight to ensure the delivery of quality services. Team Leader will conduct in-person field-based services in the community with team members to support staff in their work with participants with elevated risks and needs.Participate in periodic cross-divisional program planning meetings to communicate progress on new objectives within the program and identify barriers to goal completion.Team Leader will assist staff with identifying new and innovative approaches to engaging participants by continually evaluating the success of clinical approaches and refining activities on an ongoing basis.Supervise the timely, complete, and accurate documentation in the database, in accordance with confidentiality regulations, to ensure court services staff have accurate information to share with court stakeholders, participants attend court dates and satisfy the conditions of their supervision. Team Leader will respond to feedback and recommendations from Quality Improvement, Clinical Practice, Research and Evaluation and Database Management to promote program success.Supervise the delivery of culturally competent and anti-racist services in accordance with CASES’ policies and the delivery of excellent court services to address the needs of individuals with behavioral health needs and that are responsive to the race, ethnicity, sexuality, gender, and criminal legal history of program participants.Facilitate hands-on as well as in-service trainings to assist staff in developing clinical, trauma responsive, supervision and case management skills with an ongoing attention to promoting self-care.

What we are looking for:  

Master’s degree in relevant field of study such as Social Work, Mental Health Counseling or similar discipline required.Minimum of two years supervisory experience in a social services program providing direct services to individuals, families and/or groupsKnowledge of community-based resources and support services for vulnerable individuals.Highly motivated self-starter, able to translate goals into action and deliver successful outcomes.
