Job Title: Team Leader, Intensive Service Unit  

 

Job Summary:  

CASES is currently seeking a Team Leader to join the Intensive Services Unit (ISU) within Pretrial Services. Team leader assumes full responsibility for all the operational and programmatic needs for the staff and the clients they serve. The Team Leader is tasked with direct supervision and oversight of the Assistant Team Leader and the master's Level and Clinical Staff on the team. In this role, the Team Leader represents their borough as part of the leadership team alongside their Borough Director and may be tasked with specific projects that can arise at different times to assist with the team's overall functioning.  

The Intensive Services Unit (ISU) initiative will implement innovative approaches to working with individuals who have been placed in the Supervised Release Program and experience more extensive needs and challenges that may impact daily functioning and overall program engagement. The ideal candidate for this position will work well as part of a coordinated clinical team actively assisting all team members. The focus group of program participants manage challenges in mental health, substance use, employment, and medical health. The team promotes proactive, sustained engagement in the community as a catalyst to individual transformation by bridging participants to community partners and resources eager to support our participants in realizing their greatest potential.  

 

Salary: The salary for the Team Leader, ISU role ranges from $85,000 - $90,000 per year.  

Shift Hours: The Team Leader, ISU position is working full-time Monday through Friday from 1:00 pm to 9:00 pm.

What you will be doing:  

Provide direct oversight and management of the multi-disciplinary Intensive Services Unit by ensuring the effective delivery of services such as community supervision, field-based supervision, outreach, crisis intervention and counseling. Facilitate regularly occurring team meetings and morning “huddles” to direct clear guidance on daily program operations, review cases collaboratively and inspire ongoing discussion on emerging participant trends.During the startup phase and at different points, the Team Leader will provide direct field-based services to provide coverage for staff and model the expected level of service for newly hired staff.Provide direct supervision to the Assistant Team Leader and clinical staff by conducting weekly clinical supervision and daily support for regular program operations.  Conduct in-person field-based services in the community with team members to support staff in their work with participants with elevated risks and needs.Ensure the team achieves expected performance targets in accordance with funder established goals for promoting compliance with supervision, court mandates and avoiding contact with the Criminal Legal system following program enrollment.Implement risk management protocols, case reviews, staff supervision protocols, incident reporting and other administrative oversight to ensure the delivery of quality services.

What we are looking for:  

 

Master’s degree in relevant fields of study such as Social Work, Mental Health Counseling or similar discipline required Minimum of two years supervisory experience in a social services program providing direct services to individuals, families and/or groups Knowledge of community-based resources and support services for vulnerable individuals Highly motivated self-starter, able to translate goals into action and deliver success outcomes Candidates who are justice-impacted or identify as having lived experience are encouraged to apply  

 

Additional, preferred skills we are looking for but are not required:  

Experience with forensic, legal system or field-based mobile treatment teams strongly preferred Active licensure in clinical profession required, LCSW or LMHC preferred
