Lead and monitor the daily warehouse department activities warehouse associates and contract employees. Ensure accomplishment to customer and site targets, compliance to working standards, and overall growth of warehouse associates.
Ensure that inbound, repack, or outbound volumes meet key performance indicators (KPI’s).Ensure that all associates complete tasks according to job standards.Maintain overall responsibility for performance of shift operations, directing daily activities, providing coaching and feedback to associates, as well as monitoring performance of material handling equipment.Will be responsible to escalate issues to maintenance.Will be responsible for escalating operational issues to management or senior management.Ability to work with computer systems and direct staff activities based on understanding of reports and information.Ability to update and maintain information in standard computer software packages (e.g. Excel, Access, Word).Identify and lead projects to improve safety, cost, quality, delivery, and utilization of manufacturing processes in order to meet goals and targets.Support the performance and career development of all hourly team members.Lead and be responsible for the problem solving process.· Leading department in BPS principles such as Standardized Work, Problem Solving, Transparency, A3 Thinking, Continuous Improvement Process, Deviation Tracking, and learning via process experimentation.
Performs compilation of information and independently resolves complex problems with limited guidance.Ability to communicate effectively cross-functionally. Identify and implement projects that support department wide initiatives.Qualifications
Qualifications
High school degree or GED and/or specialized training in business or warehouse management3 - 5+ years of experience in supply chain, logistics, warehouse operations or related field required.Minimum 2 years leadership/supervisor experience required.Strong knowledge of ERP systems; SAP preferred.Forklift experience strongly preferred.Should possess skills to drive results, handle change-management, and achieve/exceed targets and goals.Must have strong communication and interpersonal skills.Must be eligible to work in the US without VISA sponsorship. Not eligible for VA/VN assignment.Preferred experience with SAP ERPDemonstrate discipline and consistency regarding adherence to standards, policies and procedures. Ability to delegate, multi-task, lead groups, and communicate effectively. Ability to work on cross-functional teams with a high degree of self-initiative. Experience utilizing problem solving techniquesMust be willing to work flexible schedules.
