The pride in our brand fuels a workplace that encourages creative thinking, champions experimentation, and promotes authenticity which has contributed to our enduring success. **Job Summary (Purpose):** The Day Shift Team Leader is responsible for developing and coaching the operations team, guiding them to execute our manufacturing plan and meet performance goals and key performance indicators in a values-driven environment. The Team Leader coordinates activities for operations and maintenance team members, gathers data, and identifies a daily strategy which maximises product quality and productivity and facilitates troubleshooting of production problems on a timely basis. The team leader applies strategic thinking and problem solving methodologies, whilst championing a team culture of continuous improvement in Safety, Quality, Efficiency, Environment and Factory Performance and Reliability (FP&R), leveraging best practices. **Main responsibilities:** + Coordinates team training and activities regarding Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP's), quality, sanitation, maintenance, and productivity. + Leads the team by exhibiting Company values and leadership principles. + Ensure team members are well-versed and compliant with Company standards, policies, and procedures. + Accountable for meeting or exceeding work safety standards in line with Colgate practices and policies. + Facilitates a problem-solving environment that values and rewards team member involvement, including the application of continuous improvement methodologies (e.g., Root Cause Analysis (RCA) and 5S) to enhance performance goals. + Consistently manage team performance in line with internal performance improvement guidelines, including conducting one-on-one meetings and probationary reviews in a timely manner. + Supports the implementation of Quality Assurance practices, safety goals and Factory Performance and Reliability (FP&R) standards, including acting as a co-standard owner of a FP&R standard. + Coaches team to handle daily activities such as timekeeping, crewing, overtime, attendance, and escalation. + Work with teams to increase innovation, technical expertise, analysis and problem solving skills, and build effective training plans to build capability. + Participates in equipment commissioning to ensure effective operationalization and transfer of technology. + Escalates operational issues and breakdowns in line with the escalation procedure, and ensures the team escalates accordingly. **Required (Education, Knowledge required, Language skills, etc):** + Bachelor's Degree in Business, Engineering or Science + 5 + years’ experience in an FMCG manufacturing or similar environment + 2 + years’ experience as a Team Leader/Supervisor + Experience in training and mentoring team members **Preferred Requirements:** + Strong communication skills, including active listening, written, verbal, and formal presentation + Experience with Continuous Improvement Systems, including Lean Tools (5S, Root Cause Analysis, Problem Solving, Visual Management, Standard Work) + Proficiency with Google Suite: Docs, Slides and Sheets + Preventative and Autonomous maintenance experience + Previous SAP experience \#LI-VP5 **Compensation and Benefits** Salary Range $ - $ USD Pay is determined based on experience, qualifications, and location. Salaried employees may also be eligible for discretionary bonuses, profit-sharing, and long-term incentives for Executive-level roles.
