Team Leader Identity and Access Management Security
Overview We are seeking a full-time Team Leader Identity and Access Management Security in our Olathe, KS location. In this role, you will be responsible for being a technical subject matter expert with a proven track record in security policy, risk management, and access control. In this role, you'll collaborate with various teams to identify and implement access control solutions for our internal systems. In addition, this position will possess a solid understanding of information security principles and be adept at pinpointing gaps in access management. Specifically, this position will drive our Cyber Security strategy with a focus on a deep conceptual grasp of IAM concepts applicable to our internal solutions. This position demands a diverse skill set encompassing security, technical expertise, coding proficiency, and effective communication. Essential Functions Review designs and code, enhancing the efficiency, scalability, and stability of assigned product areas and systems, with a particular focus on Identity and Access Management (IAM) Lead a team of engineers specializing in IAM initiatives within Garmin's agile scrum framework Ensure effective communication with stakeholders across organization to address and mitigate cybersecurity risks and reduce incidents through Change Management Directly supervise team members, overseeing daily interactions and managing workload distribution Provide guidance/mentorship to new team members, fostering growth within IAM practices Monitor team's progress in meeting deliverables and adhering to schedules, ensuring compliance with IAM objectives Offer operational leadership for day-to-day IAM activities and strategic direction for future initiatives Research/propose modern IAM technologies aligned with business requirements Plan/schedule work assignments, allocating resources and coordinating team efforts efficiently Continuously enhance delivery process of IAM solutions, striving for greater effectiveness/efficiency Participate in Cyber team meetings to discuss strategies, progress, and problem-solving efforts as needed Motivate the team to achieve high-quality results and maintain optimal performance levels Escalate issues to management when necessary, ensuring timely resolution Maintain alignment between the team, manager, and departmental goals Sustain, improve, and expand existing IAM software solutions Foster a positive team environment/cultivate healthy relationships among team members Recruit, develop, and retain top talent to ensure a high-performing IAM team Manage expenses, participate in budgeting processes, and nurture vendor relationships for IAM-related software and tools in coordination with managerial guidance Basic Qualifications Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Management Information Systems, Business, or another relevant field AND a minimum of 5 years relevant experience OR equivalent combination of education and relevant experience Experience with designing, development, testing, implementation, and integration of Identity and Access Management (IAM) systems and solutions Demonstrated strong and effective verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills in a small team setting Must be team-oriented, possess a positive attitude, work well with others, be a driven problem solver with proven success in solving difficult problems, and have excellent time management/follow-up skills Consistently demonstrates quality and effectiveness in work documentation and organization Previous experience in management or leadership Garmin International is an equal opportunity employer.
