SUMMARY
The Insurance Team Lead is a document processing SME responsible for daily oversight of an assigned team comprised of insurance, corporate document and QA team members within Vendor Credentialing / Spend Management. The Team Lead is well versed in property & casualty insurance and often serves as the liaison between vendors and their insurance agents. They train and mentor teammates to help develop their knowledge depth and technical expertise. They work closely with other project leads within Spend Management to drive vendor enrollment and approval metrics.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
This is a working Team Lead position. The ideal candidate will work alongside those within their pod and will perform many of the same tasks. Responsibilities for this position include but are not limited to the following:
Insurance, corporate and license document review, indexing and processing. Vendor and insurance agent outreach via phone and/or email. Oversight of SLA for all Salesforce tickets assigned to the team queue. Serve as the point of contact for internal/external inquiries or escalations related to document processing. Lead the ACORD 28 tracking project. Oversight of the insurance processing QA team members, including reporting. Participate in product testing related to system enhancements to ensure the integrity of the processing application is not impacted. Report issues to the quality control team and leadership. Identify and drive campaigns that improve vendor enrollment and approval metrics. Prepare requested weekly, monthly, and quarterly reports and/or audits. This also includes the ability to prepare a presentation that may be addressed virtually or in-person. Perform HR administrative tasks such as approval of timesheets and PTO requests. Assist with establishing team goals and helping drive team dynamics and performance. One-on-one coaching with team members to recognize individual achievements and maximize individual performance. Collaborate with other team leads within the organization to drive employee engagement. Perform additional duties as required.REQUIRED SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS
High school diploma or equivalent required; some college preferred Prior Vendor Credentialing processing experience with consistent accuracy scores above 97% Strong knowledge of property & casualty insurance Credential Key Program experience preferred Excellent language and communication skills (written and verbal) Strong attention to detail Strong organizational ability; must be able to handle multiple tasks simultaneously Proficient knowledge of MS Word, Excel, and Outlook required Must be able to work well with individuals at all levels in and out of the organization Able to learn new processes and tools in a fast-paced environment
