Delta Faucet Company in Lapeer, MI is looking for an exceptional Maintenance Team Leader to work for our 1st shift operations. Work schedule is based on core hours of 6:45am -3:15pm, M-F + frequent OT. Our team members enjoy a full benefit package, including 401k match and paid vacation days within 60 days from hire. The Delta-Lapeer facility manufactures plastic bathtubs, shower bases and shower wall units.
This Maintenance Team Leader will be responsible for leading the team in the installation, troubleshooting and maintenance of production equipment and the facility equipment & facilities on first shift. This person must be proficient in the skills of a Maintenance Technician and be able to teach others. The Team Lead is responsible for the safe and efficient production operations of their assigned area. They are the first point of contact for the team members. They work to create success for the team by continuously improving the operations.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities: (including but not limited to)
Build electrical panels, install power drops, wire motors
Install and service electronic equipment
Load and troubleshoot PLC Ladder Logic – Allen Bradley, Siemens and DeviceNet
Program Fanuc robots
Perform preventative maintenance
Safety: Assure that the team is working safely, report and resolve concerns, perform safety audits
People: Build strong teams, lead by example with a professional and courteous manner, promote a positive work environment, assign work to meet schedule compliance, recognize and celebrate accomplishments of the team
Training: Mentor and develop skills of team members, both current and new
Quality: Assure that the team members are following standard work and products are meeting PQR standards
Production: Drive OEE and performance of the team, monitor scrap and first pass yield, escalate, and resolve product or process concerns
Continuous Improvement Activity: Problem Solving, Kaizen, A3, PDCA events
Other duties as assigned.
Education and Experience/Skills:
Complete Shop Floor Management TL modules within 12 months of starting in role
Prefer 2 years’ experience in a leadership role in a production environment
High School graduate or GED preferred
Ability to interpret reports & analyze data
Proficiently use laptop computer, including MS Office programs, SAP for tracking metrics
Must be able to:
Demonstrate leadership
Be a role model for the Delta Faucet values

Lift, bend and reach, including below waist level and above shoulder level
Lift, push and pull weights of up to 25lbs
Use hands to manipulate parts and machine controls
Use vision to inspect parts, read labels and inventory sheets
