What You’ll Be Doing:
Business Development: Develop and implement strategic initiatives to expand KPFF's civil engineering practice in Northern California. Identify new business opportunities and cultivate strong client relationships. Team Leadership: Establish and lead a proficient team of engineers and technicians. Provide guidance and direction throughout project execution, ensuring the highest standards are maintained. Foster a culture of innovation, excellence, and collaboration within the team. Project Management: Oversee the planning, design, and execution of various civil engineering projects. Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations. Collaborate with other teams to integrate civil engineering solutions with overall project goals. Client Engagement: Prepare proposals leveraging technical expertise to secure new projects. Maintain a strong network of industry contacts through active participation in industry events.Who We’re Looking For:
Professional Engineer (PE) licensed in California. Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering with at least ten years of site development and/or land development project experience. Proven expertise in managing and delivering complex civil engineering projects, with a strong understanding of industry best practices and regulatory requirements. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams and build lasting client relationships.Nice to Haves:
Experience with public utility work and subdivision projects is a plus.Physical Demands and Work Environment:
Location flexibility in Northern California Duties are primarily conducted in a standard office setting, requiring prolonged periods of sitting at a desk or computer table. Occasionally may be required to lift objects weighing up to 15 lbs. Occasionally visiting project locations and performing field inspections, which may involve walking, standing, kneeling, or navigating uneven terrain.Culture and Benefits:

We offer a dynamic compensation structure where salary and level will be determined based on your individual experience and your expressed desire to grow within the company, potentially evolving into an ownership role. The salary range for a qualified candidate with at least ten years of experience starts at $120,000 and increases based on qualifications. Additionally, we offer performance-based bonuses to recognize and reward outstanding contributions in each Reporting Center.
