In this position... 

We are taking our Engineering & Maintenance Team Managers to the next level. These talented employees are the drivers of standardization and continuous improvement in the Ford Production System.

You'll have... 

Bachelor of Science in Electrical, Mechanical, Industrial, Controls or Automation engineering5 or more years in engineering & maintenance experience in a manufacturing environmentStrong knowledge of Production process and environmentDemonstrated leadership and interpersonal skills and a history of empowering/developing employeesValidated fluidity interacting with all employees in the organizationIn depth experience in assembly manufacturing processesStrong communication and problem-solving skills, including working knowledge of Six SigmaDemonstrated ability to work cross functionally as a teamStrong negotiation and persuasion skillsDemonstrated conflict management skillsStrong analytical, problem solving, and organization skillsA history of successfully delivering results in a fast paced environment

Even better, you may have...

Master’s degree in Electrical, Mechanical, Industrial, Controls or Automation engineering5 or more years of engineering and maintenance experience in an automotive engineering environmentKnowledge of Lean Manufacturing principles Knowledge of constraint management principlesSafety and Quality experience Prior experience managing a unionized work forceStrong knowledge of Ford systemsMicrosoft Office knowledge (Word/Excel/Outlook)

What you'll do...

Lead Engineering & Maintenance teams in production scheduling, staffing, procurement and maintenance of Final Department equipment Lead project writing and process of collecting and evaluating data in sound business casesCoach, Counsel and Teach the team’s GSR’s to handle and lead multi-dollar projects Coordinate the resources and activities of engineering & maintenance organization to meet the production schedule within budgetary limitations and time constraintsParticipates in production scheduling, staffing, procurement and maintenance of equipment, quality control, inventory control, and the coordination of production activities with those of other departmentsAnalyze the plant's personnel and capital resources to determine the best way(s) of meeting the production quotaMonitor the production run to make sure that it stays on schedule and correct any problems that may arisePromote and ensure constant improvement in the E & M organization toward the common goal of improving product quality, plant competitiveness and total cost structureEnsure the department complies with government/industry standardsCoordinate the resources and activities required to ensure problem free start-upsFacilitate start-up / shift to shift meetingsEvaluate and deliver FTPM measurablePromote and support Small Team Work GroupsChampion constraint analysis and coordinate activities to eliminate bottlenecksEnsure deliverables are aligned with VIM Action Matrix, 5-year plan, JPH Package Establish the goal of maximizing equipment effectiveness to improve productivityReview/approve preventative maintenance activitiesAddress department Health and Safety concernsReview department safety measurables & coordinate improvement activitiesDrive SQCDMMEManage budgets
