BlueOval Battery Park Michigan will produce the lithium iron phosphate (LFP) battery cells to power the next-generation Ford EV passenger vehicles and trucks under development.


This new wholly-owned subsidiary of Ford Motor Company will create more than 1,700 jobs when production begins in 2026.

You'll have…

Bachelor’s degree or above.At least 5 years warehouse management experience in large manufacturing enterprises.Team management experience.Proficient in using office software, familiar with ERP or SAP systems.Excellent data analysis ability.

Degree in industrial engineering, management science, and engineering-related fields.At least 8 years of experience in large manufacturing enterprises (materials, electronics, automotive, and other industries).Knowledge and skills: Familiarity with the operation process of manufacturing enterprise warehouse, with the ability to manage quality, optimize processes, and manage overall organization.Proficient in ERP software such as SAP, and Office software, excellent document writing ability.

This role will start remote and then will be working hybrid out of Marshall, MI, with the expectation to be on-Site at Marshall once building construction and timing is established (relocation package available). 

Once your employment with Ford commences, you will be assigned to BlueOval Battery Michigan LLC. You will continue to be employed by Ford Motor Company but work at BlueOval Battery Michigan, Ford’s wholly owned subsidiary located in Marshall, Michigan.  You will remain an at-will employee at all times during your employment with Ford or any Ford affiliate or subsidiary with which you later become employed.

What You'll Do…

I. Material Flow & Management:

End-to-End Material Handling: Direct and control the management of production and non-production materials from receiving docks through storage, line feeding, to the point of use, and ultimately to the customer. This includes shipping/receiving SAP transactions, material disposition, Hazmat handling, scrap removal, and efficient use of AGV and PMHV (Powered Material Handling Vehicle).Ford Production System (FPS) Support: Develop and implement Ford Production System, industrial material flow and lean manufacturing practices.ERP System Support: Support the MP&L MRP Development and Deployment Plan through the Explore, Realization, Test, and Hypercare phase of launching SAP.Inventory Management: Establish reasonable and efficient storage mechanisms, including 5S/site identification to meet requirements, ensuring inventory and document management targets are 100% accurate.On-Time Delivery: Ensure accurate and timely delivery to customers, with zero external customer complaints due to delivery errors.Warehouse Management: Oversee warehouse integrity, safety, delivery optimization, and cost optimization. Plan material requirements according to production line needs.

II. Operational Excellence & Continuous Improvement:

Policy Deployment: Manage the business with policy deployment objectives, implementation plans, and accountability.Performance Monitoring: Conduct departmental reviews, assessing performance across safety, quality, delivery, cost, people, maintenance, and environment (SQDCPME).Cost Control: Maintain the departmental budget and implement plans for continuous improvement in indirect labor and all overhead accounts.Process Improvement: Develop and implement processes to improve material handling operations, potentially involving modifications to plant equipment, resources, or facilities.

III. Team Leadership & Development:

Team Management & Development: Provide direction and support to material handling personnel. Develop and implement processes to ensure effective training and development for department personnel, creating developmental opportunities for direct reports.Employee Development: Coach and counsel employees on operational issues, career development, performance issues, and MP&L knowledge. Create and review individual performance reviews. Ensure all departmental employees participate in required training. Represent and coordinate the department GSR's career planning.Performance Management: Administer salary performance reviews, reward, and recognize employees, and address corrective actions as needed.Prioritization & Resource Allocation: Prioritize work on key issues and allocate resources effectively.Compliance & Auditing: Support VCA, FPS, QS9000, SHARP, ISO14001, SOX, and Hazmat internal and external audits. Perform monthly plant audits. Review plant procedures to align with departmental procedures. Support/oversee the cycle verification program.

IV. Communication & Collaboration:

Internal Communication: Communicate critical MP&L issues to plant and division supply chain and scheduling management. Assure MP&L representation during quality campaign meetings.External Communication: Provide coordination with external logistics providers as needed.

V. Other:

Flexibility: Ability to work various shifts, including weekends, to meet production demands.
