Team Manager - Automation (f-m-d)

As a member of an international development organization, you’re building up and leading a Automation Engineering team for execution of projects in a system integration environment for Marine, Offshore and Process Industry. The Technology solutions are part of our integral Electrification, Automation and Digital products, which require Know How and background in the respective domains.

This includes engineering contribution in the SE Industrial Process and Module Control Suite basis and application software framework (EAD business) based on the TIA or PCS7 family, as well as the design of HMI process screens for SCADA system like WinCC or IA Ignition and industry specific software used to build solutions and Electrical technologies combined with digital. We’re working within an agile process environment to ensure efficiency and flexibility. Effective communication with the international team is a crucial aspect of your role, and your goal is to co-ordinate Engineering team and guide execution contribution of high-quality solutions that meets the needs of the SE industry.

Your new role – challenging and future-oriented:

•Manage and lead an integrated SW/HW/system/ Digital engineering team.

• Support the team with your expertise in development and your additional know how in various fields like Oil and Gas, Process Industries and Maritime engineering.

• Coach the development team in collaboration environment.

• Create/support a team spirit with your peers in the global setup.

• Drive efficiency in the development.

• Ability to communicate clearly and precisely, both written and verbally, at all levels of the organization

• Ability to work in a flexible, multi-functional, team-based, development environment that is comprised of both local Siemens Energy Engineers and 3rd party consultants/contractors. -

We don’t need superheroes, just super minds:

Master’s or bachelor’s degree in Electronics, Instrumentation Engineering, or equivalent knowledge

• A strategic leader with a proven track record in management, demonstrating a keen interest in leadership and people development.

• 15+ years of experience in developing and deploying software applications.

• Experienced in Automation/Electrification/Digital solutions.

• Domain Know How in certain industrial applications (Renewable energy/ O&G/Data center/Pulp and Paper/Water/Metal/Offshore/Maritime).

• Validated communication and presentation skills (English)

• Experienced in working in international engineering teams.
