Team Manager - Maintenance and Manufacturing Engineering - Stamping

As a **Stamping Maintenance and Manufacturing Engineering Team Manager** at Ford's Oakville Assembly Complex, you’ll do all that and more. We’re investing $3 billion to expand the Ford Oakville plant to produce the legendary F-Series Super Duty pickup truck by 2026. This talented and experienced leader will lead a team of Process Engineers, Maintenance Process Coaches (Supervisors), and Skilled Trades team members to drive a culture of excellence, focus, and collaboration. Ensuring productivity, quality, safety, and cost targets are achieved for all stamping presses and production equipment on all shifts/crews within the stamping department. Delivering all department scorecard objectives, owning processes and standardization. You will lead continuous improvement opportunities to ensure production volume and quality targets are achieved and serve as a change agent to drive the Ford Production System. + Maximizing stamping equipment effectiveness to improve productivity and quality. + Develop and lead preventative maintenance activities. + Champion constraint analysis and coordinate activities to eliminate production bottlenecks. + Promote improved department safety metrics and provide resources. + Address department Health and Safety concerns. Enforce compliance with government, industry, and corporate standards. + Develop and implement a training strategy for all team members. + Lead Maintenance and Engineering teams, and skilled trades teams in maintenance of all department equipment. + Coach, counsel, and teach to ensure departmental goals are achieved. + Coordinate resources and activities of the organization to meet the production schedule within budgetary limitations and time constraints. + Lead Ford Production System implementation. + Lead Health and Safety reviews of new production equipment. + Promote and ensure constant improvement in product quality, plant competitiveness and total cost structure. + Ensure the department complies with government/industry standards. + Facilitate shift to shift meetings, weekend planning meetings, and start-up/shutdown meetings. + Implement material control of spare part inventory, repair and rebuild programs, and reliability and maintainability reviews. + Review department safety measurables, coordinate improvement activities, and address department Health and Safety concerns. + Drive root cause analysis and implement permanent corrective actions through the established methodology. + Achieve production volume, labour and operating budget targets. + Recognize and celebrate accomplishments of the team. **Minimum Qualifications:** + Education: College diploma or University Degree in technical related field, or Skilled Trades Certificate of Qualification in technical related field. + Experience: Five (5) years in manufacturing maintenance and/or manufacturing engineering roles. + Work flexible hours that may include nights, weekends, and overtime. + Excellent leadership and interpersonal skills. + Ability to interact with all employees in the organization. + In depth experience in assembly manufacturing processes. + Strong working knowledge of the Ford Production System. + Strong communication and problem-solving skills, including Six Sigma. + Demonstrated ability to work as a team. + Demonstrated ability to lead, empower and develop employees. + Demonstrated conflict management skills. + Strong analytical, problem solving, and organization skills. + Must be able to travel outside of Canada. **Preferred Qualifications:** + Experience: High-speed Class-A automotive Stamping operations. + Knowledge of constraint management principles This is more than just a job; it's a chance to grow your career like never before.
