What you will be doing:
Team Leadership and Management: Lead, coach, and mentor the Manila-based trading team to ensure optimal performance. Develop a high-performing team culture focused on accuracy, speed, and innovation in trading.I Identify skill gaps and provide training to enhance the team's trading and analytical capabilities. Conduct regular performance reviews and provide constructive feedback to team members. Trading Operations and Performance: Manage the team’s trading activities across various sports markets, ensuring profitability and risk mitigation. Oversee real-time, in-play, and pre-match trading operations, ensuring accurate pricing and market positions. Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) set by the UK based stakeholders. Ensure the team operates within the company's risk management framework, adhering to all trading limits and guidelines. Market Analysis and Strategy Development: Provide insights and analysis on sports events, betting markets, and customer behavior to enhance trading strategies. Identify and capitalize on value opportunities within the market to maximize profitability. Stay informed of industry trends, technological advancements, and competitor activities to ensure the team remains competitive. Collaborate with the UK team to align on trading strategies and market approaches. Process Improvement and Reporting: Continuously improve trading workflows, ensuring efficient processes and tools are in place. Utilize data-driven approaches to optimize trading strategies and decision-making. Ensure accurate and timely reporting of trading activities, performance metrics, and key insights to senior management. Work closely with technology and data teams to improve trading systems and platforms. Key Accountabilities: Profitability and Risk Management: Achieve profitability targets while maintaining strict adherence to risk management protocols. Team Performance: Ensure the Manila trading team delivers high-quality trading services that meet or exceed performance expectations. Operational Efficiency: Drive continuous improvements in trading processes, tools, and workflows to optimize performance. Compliance: Ensure compliance with all company policies, legal regulations, and industry standards in trading activities. Collaboration: Liaise with the department manager and UK stakeholders to ensure all SLA's are met.
Who we are looking for:
Analytical Thinking: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret data and make quick, accurate decisions under pressure. Technical Proficiency: Familiarity with in house trading systems, market analysis tools, and the ability to adapt to new technologies quickly. Risk Management: Solid understanding of risk management principles and the ability to manage trading positions within defined limits. Attention to Detail: High level of accuracy and attention to detail in pricing, reporting, and managing trading operations. Influence: Ability to effectively influence key stakeholders by presenting insights into trading product performance. Knowledge of our trading product offering across our brands is an advantage. Experience training and influencing others.
