Team Members and or a dependent of a team member of Save-On-Foods, Urban Fare, PriceSmart Foods, and Bulkley Valley Wholesale are eligible to apply to the Team Member Diversity Scholarship.

UFCW Local 1518 along with Save-On-Foods, Urban Fare, PriceSmart Foods, and Bulkley Valley Wholesale are committed to celebrating and promoting diversity in the communities that we serve. We help students who share this commitment by offering an annual Team Member Diversity Scholarship.

Eligibility:

Team member (or dependent of a team member) who has worked with the company for at least one year as of May 1, 2025.

Member or a dependent of a member of UFCW Local 1518.

B.C. resident who will be pursuing post-secondary education at an accredited institution within the province of B.C. in the Fall of 2025.

Not a previous recipient of the Team Member Diversity Scholarship.

You’ll be asked to include the following information in your application:

Application: examples of how you have contributed to diversity awareness and acceptance in your community.

Reference letters: two letters of reference from individuals who can speak to the meaningful contributions you’ve made to your school, store, and/or community as it relates to supporting and promoting diversity initiatives (Word or PDF format).

Transcript: a copy of your most recent transcript (Word or PDF format).

Please ensure all required documents are uploaded before submitting your application.

All team members (or their dependents) who meet these criteria are welcome to apply on or before May 1, 2025.
