Your Day at Lowe's
As a warehouse Team Member, you'll build a range of skills and play a crucial role in ensuring that our stores, customers, and communities receive the products they need. You will be expected to consistently perform your tasks efficiently and work with others as part of a team. In addition, all team members are expected to follow safety regulations and procedures.
Warehouse Team Members work in diverse departments, each contributing to our supply chain operations. These departments include Building, Shipping, and Receiving.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:
Responsible for monitoring inventory of maintenance parts including, but not limited to Intelligrated, Crown, Yale, Autocar, Ottawa and Special Order. Responsible for stocking and organizing parts and maintaining order in the parts room. Communicate parts orders and needs to the Admin Clerk, providing regular updates to the maintenance staff and coordinate with Mechanics on all shifts as needed. Coordinate with maintenance staff to schedule install of special order parts. Frequent use of 7i maintenance software that controls parts inventory and work orders. Responsible for accurate and timely parts inventory and inventory control in 7i system. Accurate input into 7i system including work orders for all shifts, mechanic worksheets, and add/remove assets. Create and maintain PM and Work Order schedule for all shifts. Track and record hours on equipment. Responsible for supporting the Maintenance Department with a variety of administrative duties. Pick-up parts from various local suppliers, as needed.
SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:
Must have excellent communication skills. Must have great organizational skills. Must have superb data entry accuracy skills. Must have computer skills and a working knowledge of Windows-based software. Must have excellent customer service skills and be able to work with internal and external customers and vendors. Have a working knowledge of machine parts, electrical parts, and other parts used in and around the facility. Positive attitude, willing to learn, able to provide special attention to details, and open to change. Must have a valid driver’s license and the ability to drive a pick-up truck, as needed.
Working Conditions
Environmental factors vary by location. You may be working in both inside and outside weather conditions. Exposure to varying climates, including extreme heat or cold, wet, damp, humid, windy, or drafty conditions, is possible. You may be exposed to constant or intermittent noises in addition to moving or shaking objects and equipment.
Lifting methods vary based on role, weight, and volume. Associates must follow guidelines, limiting single lifts to 70 pounds. Team lifts are used minimally starting at 70 pounds or when needed. Powered equipment should be used as required, with proper training or assistance from a trained coworker.
