Job Summary

Working within Waterfall or Agile frameworks, a Business Analyst will work with a variety of disciplined focused team members all working toward a common goal of delivering value with quality and scale. Responsible for collaborating with other Job Families such within Technology and across our business partners to deliver consistent, reliable technology solutions that leverage AEP's technology standards, architectures and best practices.  Independently performs intermediate to advanced business and project analysis for medium to large projects.

Job Description

Essential Job Functions:

Responsibilities include the following for medium or large projects or initiatives:

Performs intermediate business/project analysis for all the operational projects assigned for Infrastructure Operations team

Work with the operations team to track the monthly patching compliance and report daily remediation efforts for the non-compliant servers

Create action plans for the open vulnerabilities assigned to the Infrastructure Operations team and closely track the remediation plan developed by the team till closure

Create a categorization for the vulnerabilities for those that can be remediated during the patching cycle and drive change management process for those remediation efforts by working with the application owners

Continues developing skills in general system and business analysis, planning, facilitation

Develops functional & non-functional requirements, creates documentation, maintains corporate assets, and performs system analysis

Creates test plan, writes test cases, and executes tests

Demonstrates technical aptitude by utilizing querying tools, understanding data modeling and maintenance of data, and system configuration; able to understand and apply technology solutions

Creates work plans while learning and applying best practices

Builds domain knowledge and understands core business capabilities

Analyzes, resolves and implements appropriate solutions for basic to intermediate problems.

Provides process redesign and support including using tools, responding to user questions, problem diagnosis, recognition of process improvements, research, troubleshooting, tracking and resolution.

Develop knowledge and fundamental awareness of the planning and monitoring of expenditures to meet organizational objectives and compliance.

Develop financial management of assets and resources to utilize when making process changes.

Create and deliver data-driven reports using established tools

Enhance existing systems by analyzing business objectives, preparing an action plan, and identifying areas for modification and improvement 

Minimum Requirements:

Tech Business Analyst Senior (SG7):

Education: Bachelor's degree in computer science, information systems, business or related field of study; Or Associate's degree in computer science or related field of study with 2 years of relevant work experience; Or High school diploma/GED with 4 years of relevant work experience.

Experience: In addition to any experience required above, 5 years of relevant work experience is required.

Tech Business Analyst Principal (SG8):

Education: Bachelor's degree in computer science, information systems,  business or related field of study; Or Associate's degree in computer science or related field of study with 2 years of relevant work experience; Or High school diploma/GED with 4 years of relevant work experience.

Experience: In addition to any experience required above, 7 years of relevant work experience is required.

Preferred Requirements:

Prior experience with running Disaster Recovery programs

Experience with Vulnerability Management

Compensation:

Technology Business Analyst Senior (SG7): $83,413-$104,268

Technology Business Analyst Principal (SG8): $94,225- $122,491

$83,413.00-104,267.50 USD

Candidates will be considered based on their qualifications and the candidate’s ability to work from an approved work location.
