What Research and Development Engineering contributes to Cardinal Health
Engineering is responsible for performing research and analyses to develop design options for components, products, systems and processes.

Research and Development Engineering is responsible for developing and implementing new products through adherence to established design control processes and good engineering and documentation practices. Engineers are also responsible for maintaining design history and revisions for the life of the product.

Job Summary
The Tech II, R & D Engr is responsible for creating, revising and maintaining drawings. This job participates in product design and detailing using Solidworks for 3D models and 2D drawings.

Responsibilities

Create 2D and 3D models and drawings

Organize and maintain drawing files and project documentation

Collaborate with other drafters and team members

Work within PDM and agile system to revise project drawings and models

Details drawings in accordance with ASME standards.

Carries out any other duties delegated by superior.

Qualifications

1-2 years of experience with Solidworks, preferred

High School diploma, GED or equivalent, or equivalent work experience, preferred

Applies acquired knowledge and skills to complete standard tasks

Readily learns and applies new information and methods to work in assigned area

Maintains appropriate licenses, training and certifications

Works on routine assignments that require some problem resolution

Works within clearly defined standard operating procedures and/or scientific methods

Adheres to all quality guidelines

Works under moderate degree of supervision

Work typically involves regular review of output by work lead or supervisor

Refers complex unusual problems to supervisor

Anticipated hourly range: $21.10 per hour - $31.71 per hour
