We are hiring Staff Software Engineers to assist in the design, development, implementation, maintenance, and operation of our SaaS applications. Ideal candidates are customer-focused creative problem solvers with a passion for clean well-organized code, expert in one or more areas of our tech stack, who use innate curiosity and drive to make a significant impact in our product.
Responsibilities:
Write code that is clear, well tested, optimized, and thoroughly documented
Clearly document designs, articulate design decisions and tradeoffs, and estimate complexity and required effort to bring to production
Perform make-vs-buy analysis including review of alternative technologies to add to our stack
Collaborate and mentor other members of the team through pair programming and code reviews
Maintain a high level of engagement with product management in agile meetings and processes
Participate in benchmark and performance tuning efforts
Be a champion for industry standard best practices
Delivery of commitments on time that meet product and engineering requirements
Provide high and low-level technical designs for teams to execute on
Provide solutions and technologies that have an impact across the engineering organization
Requirements:
8+ years experience with the Go
Demonstrable experience writing or refactoring code to be scalable and performant
Strong understanding of CI/CD deployment strategies and technologies
Proficient with relational databases like MySQL
Familiarity with containerization (Docker)
Passion for writing simple, clean, and efficient code
Unwavering commitment to unit/functional/integration testing to ensure maintainable, high-quality software.
Experience designing and implementation of high complexity solutions and features
Ability to document and demonstrate solutions by using flowcharts, diagrams, and white-boarding
Bonus skills:
8+ years experience with the Ruby on Rails framework, ReactJS, or similar technologies
8+ years of experience Angular, Ruby on Rails, React, or similar technologies
MongoDB experience
OAuth, SAML, OIDC
Familiarity with scrum and agile methodologies
Experience with AWS, specifically: EC2, ECR, S3, Fargate, RDS
Internationalization
Education (preferred, not required):
BS in Computer Science/Software Engineering, or equivalent work experience

As a part of the total compensation package, this role may be eligible for the SailPoint Corporate Bonus Plan or a role-specific commission, along with potential eligibility for equity participation. SailPoint maintains broad salary ranges for its roles to account for variations in knowledge, skills, experience, market conditions and locations, as well as reflect SailPoint’s differing products, industries, and lines of business. Candidates are typically placed into the range based on the preceding factors as well as internal peer equity. We estimate the base salary, for US-based employees, will be in this range from (min-mid-max, USD):
$128,940 - $184,200 - $239,460Base salaries for employees based in other locations are competitive for the employee’s home location.
