Our preferred candidate has experience in underwriting Erection All-risk and Machinery Breakdown or Energy, with much focus on Renewable energy risks (both phases: construction and Operations), ideally in the middle market segment. We would also be happy to consider candidates currently working as project engineer, project leader or risk manager.  

You will make impact and help strengthening our market position by:

building and maintaining good relationships with broker partners to gain and underwrite new business in the middle market segment.Promoting our capabilities and building of a profitable Renewable Energy portfolio. Assisting in underwriting CAR/EAR and B&M LOBs to achieving underwriting profitability. helping to set out the underwriting strategy, forecasts, and portfolio management in order to achieve underwriting profitability.ensuring quality control within the defined area of responsibility by undertaking quantitative underwriting reviews and peer reviews.prioritizing and developing products that answer to today’s market needs.helping us to improve client retention and securing new business. This may involve collaborating with peers within and across business lines in Europe as well as globally.representing and promoting Chubb corporately to brokers, internal and external clients. This may involve servicing key producers and clients, monitoring business acquisition and retention as well as maximizing cross-selling opportunities.travelling to client/broker sites, when needed 

What should you bring to the role:

A passion for technology and/or insuranceComprehensive understanding and experience of Technology and/or the Technical Lines insurance marketCommercially driven, client focused and experienced in dealing with brokers and clients.Principled, ambitious, sets high expectations and standards for themselves.Business fluent in Spanish and English. Portuguese would be considered an asset.
