Tech Polysom II
Overview Perform polysomnograms overnight. Administers oxygen and nasal continuous positive airway pressure and employs ventilatory assist devices in accordance with established protocols. Recognizes at risk events and notifies appropriate physicians. Qualifications Required Education: GED or High School Diploma Preferred Education: RPSGT Registry Required Licensure/Certifications: RPSGT or RRT BLS from the American Red Cross or American Heart Association Preferred Licensure/Certifications: RPSGT, CRT, RRT or REEGT Required Experience: 1-2 years Polysom tech experience Preferred Experience: N/A Necessary Skills: 1. Ability to perform accurate and complete Polysomnograms, CPAP, BIPAP, BIPAP ST, ASV, MSLT, MWT 2. Oxygen titration studies in accordance with established policies and procedures and where required, score sleep studies than 85% concurrence. Age of Patients Served: Pediatric (1-12 years) Adolescent (13-17 years) Adult (18-64 years) Geriatric (= 65 years)
