Job Description Summary
The Production Manager is responsible for all live event production and equipment maintenance for each venue and will work directly with the Director of Entertainment to ensure all venues maintain the highest level of excellence and operation. The Production Manager will manage all facets of the production advance including but not limited to: Sound, lighting, staging, and other performer needs for all live events occurring at all Agua Caliente properties. This position will be responsible for managing the production team and setting a plan in motion to execute live events as per the agreed terms in the contract. The Production Manager will adhere to a budget to ensure all costs are being tracked and monitored. They will ensure that all the needs of live events and performers are met. Provides additional support to the overall management team.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities (other duties may be assigned)
Oversee the load in and load out of the live events from artists, vendors and all that apply. Manage production crew by interfacing and making production arrangements with local labor vendors, creating production crew schedules. Responsible for solving any production issues that may arise at any given point. Assist with any events hosted by the Special Events & Marketing teams, as well as all events produced by the Convention A/V team Responsible for communicating the details of live events to the production crew and essential departments. Ensure information is distributed to Entertainment Managers, essential departments, and tours in a timely manner. Responsible for documenting and delivering disciplinary actions to the production crew. Maintain regular communications with incoming Tours/Bands/Artists and Corporate Management. Creates daily and weekly show schedule. Review, approve, and submit payroll for production staff. Coordinate and oversee the production staff that will be on-site for all live events. Responsible for hiring local labor, rentals, and other show needs. Liaison between venue and artist to ensure all production needs are met and the contract is being adhered to. Assist in scheduling an appropriate number of staff while maintaining labor costs within the assigned budgetary guidelines. Assist in managing stage, sound, and lighting crews. Advance technical details for shows/events. Responsible for safe and consistent operation of all equipment. Operate and care for stage areas in a safe, clean manner. Maintenance and Repair of sound, light, and stage equipment. Maintain and secure house backline and supplies. Maintain curtains, drapes, risers, and other staging items. Ensure all procedures are cost-effective. Ensure a positive and creative environment for the production team. Facilitate proper interdepartmental communication and organization. Maintain digital “show” files. Maintain accurate vendor records, following Purchase Ordering Systems Develop and foster relationships with artists, tour crew, artist management, and other important personnel to ensure streamlined communication and successful execution of each live event. Comply with all applicable Tribal regulations, internal controls, and policies and procedures. Document and report all exceptions/variations/deviations immediately upon awareness. Assists Entertainment Management in fulfilling talent arrangements as specified in the contract rider and ensures lodging, transportation, F&B, and security requirements are fulfilled.
