You'll have...

Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering Required.10 Years of Experience in Body Engineering Construction, Body Dimensional, and Manufacturing.6+ years of experience in Sheet Metal geometric dimensioning and tolerancing.Expertise in Sheet metal die design, stamping, contours and surfaces.Knowledge of Control Charts and Process Capability, Body Construction, Body Dimensional, Locating Strategies, Body Panel Fits and GD&T. Utilization of Nominal Buck (NEB) and PCF Builds.Excellent technical communication skills in a product environment and technical engineering design environment.

In this position...

The Dimensional Control Technical Specialist will be part of Vehicle Hardware Systems, embedded within the Design Assurance Organization.The T.S. will directly report to the PVT (Plant Vehicle Team) Quality Chief and will interface with multiple cross functional activities including Body Construction, Plant Operations, PVT, VRT and Body Core Engineering.

What you'll do...

We are seeking a highly motivated leader who can create cross-functional teams and lead investigations of complicated body dimensional issues affecting component and vehicle panel fits.Must be able to data mine from various Ford Systems (WBDM, SPDQOS, Etc.)) and coordinate input from multiple activities including Supplier, STA, Body Construction, Body Assembly and Product Development.Analyzing vast amounts of data, this person must be able to extract key critical X’s/root causes and then lead team to identify and incorporate timely solutions including driving toward capable/nominal component designs and processes.This person must be an empowered self-starter that is collaborative, results driven and a team player.  Ability to succinctly communicate/interface with all levels of leadership is necessary.
