The Tech Support Specialist role is involved directly in the manufacturing process of painting and leak checking sub-assemblies located in the B8 Manufacturing center and the B8 Cleanroom. Candidate will be expected to lead, support, provide production expertise, and training within assigned work cells. Expected to act as a point of contact for all technical expertise pertaining to the assigned work cells and report/maintain the facilities/equipment issues within assigned work cells. Candidate will collaborate with and consult the appropriate Process Engineers and Manufacturing Engineers in assigned work areas.

**1st Shift - 6:30AM – 2:30PM - Goleta, California. This position is an onsite role.**


What you will do:

Run, attend, and contribute to Tier meetings to report on current work cell status and management directives.

Become a subject matter expert in Bag and Tag, Leak Check, Paint, and all processes located within the B8 Cleanroom.

Work with engineering departments to help resolve manufacturing or process related issues.

Monitor and report work performance of technicians in assigned work cells to management.

Conduct training exercises and report work cell functionality to management.

Monitor and provide training for new employees.

Learn a variety of work cells across multiple programs.

Partake in interviews.

Help to foster an environment of inclusiveness, belonging, and purpose.

Maintain and advise on Limited shelf life and HAZMAT material storage and handling procedures.

Partake in and advise on process improvement projects.

Will work with Microsoft computer applications (excel, outlook, word etc.)

Qualifications You Must Have:

High school diploma or GED

Minimum of 3 years of manufacturing experience.

Minimum of 3 years working around hazardous chemicals

Experience with FOD, ESD, and PPE.

Ability to obtain program access after start. US citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.

The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance is required. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.

Qualifications We Prefer:

Minimum of 5 years of post-high school work experience.

At least one year of leadership experience and/or 3 years customer service.

Minimum of 4 years in manufacturing operations environment.

Experience leading, training, assigning, and checking the work of entry-level professional employees.

Prior mechanical experience building, painting, or inspecting small parts.

The hourly range for this role is $23.08 to $53.85. The hourly range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. Onsite: Employees who are working in Onsite roles will work primarily onsite. This includes all production and maintenance employees, as they are essential to the development of our products.

DCSA Consolidated Adjudication Services (DCSA CAS), an agency of the Department of Defense, handles and adjudicates the security clearance process.
