Tech Ultrasound
+ JOB SUMMARY + Performs ultrasonic imaging of high quality for the diagnosis of disease and the evaluation of anatomical relationships. Must provide necessary medical records, (orders, reports, etc.) which facilitate the interpretation of Ultrasound exams. Must communicate effectively with Physicians, staff members and referring physicians and their staff in order to provide compassionate, effective and efficient health care to our patients. Must work on a rotational basis to provide Ultrasound coverage nights, weekends and holidays. Participates in CQI activities. + DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES + Demonstrates Competency in the Following Areas : + Education/Regulatory Requirements : + Graduation from an approved school of Ultrasound Technology. + Registered with the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers. (ARDMS) + Radio vascular Technology preferred. + Current BCLS certification. + Skills : + Moderate to advanced computer and data entry skills. + Good communication skills; both listening and speaking. + All clinical skills associated with that of a staff ultrasound technologist; (scan technique, cross sectional anatomy, disease recognition, patient safety).
