· Responsible for authoring tasks, creation, and integration of software documentation for end user and support teams.
· Demonstrate ability to communicate effectively and work closely with developers and SMEs to gather technical information about products to write customer facing documentation.
· Coordinate documentation plans and document outlines; define the audience, determine task list, and identify technical information requirements.
· Takes complete ownership of assigned manual to deliver, gathers the required support/inputs.
· Ability to research, analyze, and understand technical information about the product and new functionality and write technical information for inclusion into documentation on-time and as per the defined quality standards.
· Gather information through product specification docs, interviews, demos, and product exploration. Must be assertive in asking questions and generally be resourceful in finding answers.
· Ability to understand, analyze, and implement customer and support team’s feedback on documentation for hardware and software products.
· Ability to work independently and collaboratively with teams located globally.
Key Responsibilities· Write easy-to-understand user documentation on topics such as Installation, Configuration, Administration, Troubleshooting, Software Change Notices.
· Be fluent in developer terminology and developer-friendly language
· You need to provide estimates about documentation tasks to the Scrum Master.
· Produce high-quality documentation in a standard and consistent manner.
· Analyze existing and potential content and identify necessary amendments.
· Monitor the delivery of documents to ensure they are on time and are of good quality.
· Build product knowledge and understand the Honeywell BMS products and their applications.
YOU MUST HAVE· Excellent communication skills in English (written and verbal)
· 4+ years of experience developing software and hardware technical documentation.
· Strong proofreading, editing, and writing skills
· High level of ownership and a ‘Get it Done’ attitude
· Proven working experience in developing procedural software documentation.
· Careful attention to detail, strong organization, and editing/proofreading skills.
· Ability to quickly grasp complex technical concepts and make them easily understandable in text, pictures and flow diagrams.
