The Role and the Team
We are looking for a Technical Accounting Manager to join our fast-paced and high performing accounting team in Sunnyvale, CA. This individual contributor reports to the Senior Director of Technical Accounting and Financial Reporting and will participate in accounting areas such as leases, debt, acquisitions, etc. Being part of a global accounting team, this role will also work on tasks and projects that utilize technical and operational accounting skills, supporting other members in Finance and cross functional business partners. The ideal candidate will have a strong working knowledge of U.S. GAAP with experience in a wide range of topics and general accounting functions. This is a great opportunity for knowledge and career growth as the group offers exposure to various accounting areas and system projects, and as the Company continues to expand!
Your day-to-day
Excellent technical research and interpretation skills with ability to document and operationalize Experience in complex areas such as Leases, Debt, M&A, and EquityReview contracts and one-off transactions and document accounting positions in formal memosResearch and resolve accounting matters, ensuring U.S. GAAP and SOX complianceReview, document, and implement new accounting pronouncementsProvide accounting guidance and support cross-functional business partnersAssist with external reporting (financial statements, disclosures, and reporting packages)Liaise with internal and external auditors Prepare and maintain accounting policies and processesTrain and guide the global accounting team membersParticipate in ad-hoc projects and finance initiativesWhat you bring
CPA licensee5+ years of experience in public accounting and/or public companyStrong analytical, organizational, and prioritization skillsStrong interpersonal and communication skillsAbility to provide guidance and manage cross-functional relationshipOwnership of processes, controls, and audit inquiresHigh proficiency in MS Excel including Pivot Tables and advanced formulaWhy Proofpoint

Base Pay Range: 88,340.00 - 138,820.00 USDAll other cities and states excluding those listed above:
