Job Summary/Objective

Albemarle Corporation, a global leader in advanced materials for mobility, energy, connectivity and health, is seeking an engineer with industrial experience in all aspects of bromine and brominated flame retardant process technology and manufacturing.

Essential Functions

Function as a subject matter expert in brominated flame retardant manufacturingParticipate in technoeconomic evaluation of projects related to brominated flame retardant manufacturingEvaluate the technical fit of existing assets for manufacturing of new products.   Develop scopes for adapting assets as needed.

Required Education and Experience

BS degree in Chemical engineeringAt least 15 years of relevant industrial experience and expertise mostly in bromine, brominated flame retardant process technology and manufacturingStrong critical thinking skills and ability to translate complex data and ideas into actionable insights, plus excellent verbal and written communication skills to share those insightsAbility to prioritize and respond on time to multiple parallel requests while working both independently and in collaboration with colleagues at a variety of locations
