Technical Advisor

 

Job Summary:

The Technical Advisor for the ProVation software suite has primary responsibility for driving new software implementation, upgrade, and migration projects to successful completion.  Technical Advisor activities also include working collaboratively with client personnel to meet project scope and timelines while providing excellent customer service; troubleshooting and resolving implementation issues in a wide range of complex environments with respect to hardware and systems configurations; providing thorough documentation and training to the client and on-going support teams; providing subject matter expertise with respect to the application of new and existing technology to the ProVation software suite.

 

Duties & Responsibilities:

Present technical requirements information, advising how to fit ProVation software into the customer’s unique IT environment Complete detailed documentation regarding technical aspects of project Make recommendations to customers regarding the cabling layout in the procedure rooms/OR’s Perform on-going technical advisement and instruction Participate on conference calls with customers and complete follow-up tasks Reply to customer inquiries in a timely manner Technical liaison to project managers and interface analysts Lead technical projects such as software updates, hardware upgrades, and data migrations Assist with pre sales technical and security questionnaires Avenue for Customer Support escalations to help assist on complex issues  The individual may be exposed to private and confidential information, including personal health information, and is expected to adhere to company policies and all relevant laws regarding handling of such information  Other duties and projects as assigned

Job Requirements:

Education & Experience

Bachelor’s degree and/or formal technical education 5 years’ experience in conducting and/or managing technical IT implementations and upgrades, including:  Networking and medical cabling experience Implementation of software in a on premises and SaaS architecture Communicating with technical and non-technical team members at all levels of the organization Troubleshooting and solving technical issues (connectivity, hardware, and software) Working independently with little direction Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously Writing reports and correspondence Prioritizing various work streams and efforts 

Other Knowledge, Skills, Abilities or Certifications:

Experience with: Project management processes Software implementation methodology Understanding of application, data, and systems integration  IT components required for client servers and architecture as well as hosted solutions Relational database concepts Microsoft Windows client/server operating systems Experience with the following is preferred: Working with HL7 and pathology interfaces Working with Oracle backend applications and databases Cabling for healthcare devices (e.g., scopes, vital monitors) Working with healthcare imaging equipment Implementing systems in healthcare facilities Implementing in a Cloud/SaaS based platform Relational database management knowledge Healthcare information technology Cloud infrastructure and security concepts (Azure preferred) Ability to travel up to 10% of the time
