Pay based on experience | 421 North 10th Street, Winterset, IA 50273, USA | Full Time AGRILAND FS is looking for a self-driven individual who enjoys training, coaching, and supporting agronomy sales teams to join our team as a Technical Agronomist. As a member of our AGRILAND FS Team, this individual will work closely with our agronomy and location teams and provide technical agronomy support to AGRILAND FS employees, along with local farmers and landowners. Core Responsibilities: + Develop and present training programs to educate employees with the sound agronomic knowledge and skills they need to be successful - key focus areas include soil fertility, crop protection, and plant growth and development + Organize trial and research information throughout the AGRILAND FS territory + Execute on-farm research, including collecting data and management information + Address in-field agronomy concerns with professional diagnostic support + Promote management practices and a systematic approach to address production and productivity goals + Monitor performance of agronomic and conservation practices + Build relationships and answer questions as a technical agronomy expert for AGRILAND FS + Successfully engage AGRILAND FS staff to build relationships, conduct cooperative outreach to our farmer members, and provide technical expertise as requested What we need from you: + Normally requires a master's degree in Agronomy and three (3) or more years of agronomic technical support-related work experience. + Extensive knowledge of agronomy and environmental sciences, with a strong background in soil science + Currently hold or have the ability to become a Certified Crop Advisor + Outstanding professional communication (written and oral), customer service, interpersonal, presentation, and persuasion skills + Solid planning, time management, and organizational skills + Able to self-direct, make decisions, and work in a team-oriented environment + Must have and maintain a valid driver's license + Limited overnight travel may be required + Able to lift up to 70 pounds What we offer our team: + A company vehicle + Solid retirement future with a 100% company-funded Pension Plan at no cost to you, plus an additional 401k with company match + Paid time off, sick pay, and paid holidays + Competitive benefits including medical, dental, vision, and more + Opportunity to make an immediate impact with a strong team dedicated to success + Casual office attire Are you a good match to join the AGRILAND FS Team as a Technical Agronomist in Winterset?
