* GENERAL SUMMARY * Supports the provision of diagnostic imaging services to accepted standards and protocols and assure patient safety during procedures. * FUNCTIONAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES * General Support: * Assists technologist with general diagnostic work. * Transports patients to and from the department. * Maintains a clean and orderly environment. * Manages the filing system for all diagnostic films, to include: filing, retrieving, and purging. * Manages requests for release of films/images to another facility. * Assits PAC's administrator with duties. * Confirms patient's appointments for the next day. * Administrative Support: * Cross trains in all of the administrative functions of the department. * Maintains working knowledge of the PAC’s System. * Demonstrates knowledge of CD Burning. * Provides support for the department secretary as necessary, to include: answering the phone, scheduling procedures, and facilitating patient flow. * Demonstrates competency in the use of the computer appointment scheduling system and the fax and beeper systems. * Ensures all CT, MRI, and nuclear medicine patients have been protocoled by the Radiologist. * Any other duties assigned by the Director of Radiology Services. * Properly completes patient intake form. * POSITION REQUIREMENTS * Knowledge / Skills / Abilities * 0-1 year * Healthcare environment preferred * Experience * Education * High School Diploma * Or equivalent in education and experience * Area of Interest:Allied Health/Clinical; * Work Status:As needed; * Employment Type:per-diem; * Job ID:5586 Dartmouth Health is an Affirmative Action and Equal Opportunity Employer.
