Computacenter GIS business unit is seeking a confident and experienced Database Admin professionals, to bring maturity to their existing approach. The ideal candidate will have broad experience in SQL and Oracle DBA and can create a plan to deliver improvements then execute against the plan.
Good communication skills and relationship building will enable the candidate to excel at the role, build a culture of strong team and advance their career within Computacenter.
What you’ll do
Proactively manage, maintain and monitor Oracle and SQL Server systems Coverage includes 24/7 Diagnose the database system health regularly and troubleshoot any issues. Able to respond to different stakeholder's support requests Persistently seek innovative ways to improve DBA Team’s efficiency and quality. Provide technical expertise to the development teams by assisting developers with implementations and ongoing maintenance of the Database environments. Applicant must be fully responsible for managing all Oracle and SQL Server related Backups and Recovery scenarios and perform backup validation and restore tests. Support all production, development & test environments Capacity monitoring and forecast the growth of critical databases.What you’ll need
Oracle 12c running on Windows Platforms SQL Server 2012, 2014, 2016, 2017, 2019, SSAS, SSRS and SSIS configuration Extensive knowledge of the Oracle and SQL Server toolsets Good SQL & PL/SQL and T-SQL knowledge Performance Tuning expertise on both Oracle and SQL Server databases Good knowledge and working experience of RMAN, SQL Server native backups and backup using third party tools Thorough understanding of High Availability and DR including working experience of Oracle FailSafe, SQL Server availability group and Windows clustering Experience of working within a controlled ITIL environment with good understanding of control processes & procedures. Excellent problem solving and troubleshooting skills Motivated team player with excellent organisational skills, triage and task prioritisation.About us
