CGI is looking for a hybrid tester who is able to run functional and technical tests, as the scope of the User stories developed by the team is both technical and functional.
Your future duties and responsibilities:▪ Perform comprehensive functional testing to ensure software meets business and technical requirements.
Design, execute, and document test cases for various complex business domains such as finance and legal systems.
▪ Design, execute, and automate API testing using tools like Postman to validate REST API functionality.
Ensure the accuracy of API responses, data integrity, and performance under varying loads.
▪ Leverage testing tools such as JIRA XRay for test management, defect tracking, and reporting.
Continuously update and optimize test automation frameworks to ensure the accuracy, efficiency, and scalability of test execution.
▪ Work closely with cross-functional teams within Agile frameworks (Scrum, Kanban) to integrate testing into the development process.
▪ Stay current with emerging technologies and methodologies, continuously improving testing processes, tools, and techniques to increase efficiency.
Provide recommendations for enhancing product quality based on test results and analytics.
▪ 5 years experience in functional testing
▪ Appetite for complex business topics (finance, legal)
▪ Experience with testing tools like JIRA XRay
▪ Fundamental technical knowledge: ability to discuss with developers and understand the scope to be tested, autonomy to design and run a technical test plan. Examples of technical tests to be run : REST API testing, data streaming testing (Kinesis, Kafka)
▪ Experience with API testing (Postman)
▪ Experience with Agile frameworks (Scrum, Kanban)
▪ Fluent in English
▪ Scripting capabilities (for instance in shell or Python) would be appreciated
