Clariant is currently looking for a Technical and Operations Assistant to support the Care Chemicals business unit in Clear Lake, TX. This position will support the maintenance and operations teams with managing data, documentation, and IT tools. This role requires flexibility, technical proficiency, and the ability to juggle multiple tasks while ensuring smooth site operations. The ideal candidate will have a detail-oriented mindset, technical acumen, and a passion for operational excellence. They must thrive in a dynamic environment, effectively balancing multiple tasks while maintaining high standards of accuracy and efficiency. This is a full time, onsite opportunity. Responsibilities

•    Manage maintenance and engineering data per CPS Blueprint 9, including purchase orders and SAP data
•    Support operational documentation such as regulatory reports, inventory, and operational records
•    Develop and maintain IT interfaces to benefit site operations, including Microsoft Powerflows, AI analysis, online forms, and group mailboxes
•    Collaborate with team members to streamline and enhance site workflows using existing and new IT tools
•    Crosstrain in logistics functions to provide flexible support during staff shortages or changing workloads
•    Oversee stocking processes, including MRP stores and keep-stock materials
•    Accurate SAP data management in alignment with CPS Blueprint
•    Timely management of operational and regulatory data
•    Effective support in logistics and inventory functions during high-demand periods
•    Implementation of IT solutions that improve site workflow efficiency
 


 

Requirements

•    High school diploma required
•    Certification or experience in plant operations is a plus
•    At least 5 years of administrative experience at a chemical site, with a focus on maintenance and operations
•    Proficiency in SAP transaction and structure
•    Strong knowledge of MS Office applications and Microsoft Powerflows
