Our business operations and technical department in Koto City, Tokyo is now looking for a Technical Assistant. The successful candidate will provide assistance and high level of support to the dealer network in Servicing Permobil products. The right individual for this rolemust be English speaking. Key Tasks + Answer technical calls from dealer technicians + Technical product support to the sales team and dealers + Assist with wheelchair servicing, warranty and repairs where necessary, either in the tech room or on site with dealer or end users + Provide technical training for dealer technicians + Maintain up-to-date records in applicable programs + Diagnose and repair power wheelchairs, power assist and other products within agreed service level timelines + Assist with in house power wheelchair assembly for sales and rental + Assist in the set-up of rental chairs + Any other duties including configuration support + Receive, inbound and put-away in correct locations at office warehouse stock when received + Pack. Ship goods as per orders + Perform stock takes as required + Responsibility for work safety in the office warehouse, quality and general tidiness + Layout and efficiency of office warehouse for put-away, pick & pack functions, bin locations etc. + Stock-take compliance and accuracy in line with company expectations + Provide advanced technical support and troubleshooting for software and hardware issues + Collaborate with APAC engineering teams to resolve complex technical problems. + Develop and maintain technical documentation and support guides + Conduct training sessions for clients. Your Background + Bachelor’s degree in computer science , Information Technology, or related field + Mechanical/electronic technical aptitude and experience + Detail oriented + Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English. + Ability to work in a busy environment + Basic computer skills + Customer Service orientated + Ability to work with people with a disability + Mechanical/electronic technical experience + Minimum experience of 3 years in technical service preferably medical/auto industry + Strong knowledge of networking, operating systems, and database management + Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
