Technical Assurance Superintendent

Reporting directly to the Manager, Technical Assurance, you will focus on the critical aspect of process safety within our asset integrity management framework, as well as the effectiveness of Noble’s operational processes. This position offers a unique opportunity to engage with all phases and multiple departments of the asset management life cycle, focusing on safety critical equipment barriers, maintenance strategies, and risk and reliability.
Essential Functions
Develop and maintain company technical policies, procedures, technical specification, guidance documentation, work instructions, training materials. Oversee maintenance/update of management system documentation, equipment maintenance strategies. Support the continuous improvement of asset integrity processes and policies based on industry standards, industry best practices and lessons learned. Perform formal and informal audits of the equipment reliability program elements to ensure compliance with all applicable regulatory requirements, industry standards and company policies. Evaluate effectiveness of existing Asset Integrity processes and policies, advised on recommendations, and implemented changes to enhance reliability. Prepare comprehensive reports and presentations on asset integrity assessments, highlighting key findings and recommendations. Review existing CBM programs for class and industry compliances, adjust policies and equipment maintenance strategies to ensure technical compliance with class and regulatory requirements. Work closely with relevant technical departments and global operations team to monitor the effectiveness of existing processes part of the asset management strategy for compliance and optimization. Conduct FMECA, HAZID/HAZOP, specification review, after action review, equipment incident and major investigations.Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in mechanical, marine, electrical, petroleum or another engineering discipline. An advanced degree or other professional qualifications are preferred. Minimum of combine fifteen (15) + years of experience providing technical support in the offshore drilling industry and/or offshore drilling equipment manufacturer. Knowledge of Drilling equipment, well control equipment and managed pressure drilling disciplines is preferred. Combined professional experience in maintenance/operations, project management, reliability engineering and technical assurance. Previous experience with Offshore Drilling Industry standards, Lloyds, DNV, and ABS certifying authorities, as well as detailed knowledge of U.S. CFRs. and Norwegian Continental Shelf regulatory bodies applicable to MODU units. Proven experience overseeing technical teams and managing technical specifications and policies. Excellent written and verbal communication, along with strong interpersonal skills. Ability to work independently and within groups.
