REQUIREMENTS

Experience and understanding of working with APIs and integration technologies Proven ability to work independently with limited information, demonstrating a straight-shooter mentality Excellent communication skills to gather, groom, and turn requirements into clear technical specifications Familiarity with general banking and financial transaction workflows Any experience with eCommerce and/or payments (e.g., Shopify, Stripe, Square, PayPal) is a significant plus Knowledge of gateway technology and front-end payment processes Ability to break down complex problems into detailed requirements and user stories Practical experience with the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) and Scrum methodology Proficiency with Jira, Confluence, Azure DevOps, Teams, and diagramming tools is preferred Capability to communicate complex technical information to both technical and non-technical audiences Strong team collaboration skills to achieve shared goals

RESPONSIBILITIES

Collaborate with the Product Owner and Development teams to gather and document requirements Write user stories and actively participate in backlog grooming Work closely with developers to elaborate on and clarify requirements Evaluate different specifications, compare them, and provide well-founded recommendations Develop and maintain project/initiative documentation Manage delivery plans and execution timelines for the engineering team Act as a Subject Matter Expert in the analysis of business processes and functional requirements, supporting user story generation Perform exploratory data analysis, design solutions, document findings, and communicate information/results in a concise and repeatable manner Translate business goals into user stories, functional/technical specifications, and acceptance criteria Review and validate story acceptance criteria, providing support during user acceptance testing Participate actively in key Scrum ceremonies (daily stand-ups, backlog grooming/refinement, sprint planning, and retrospectives) Facilitate detailed design discussions as needed with engineering teams Work with engineering and QA teams to support release planning and post-deployment validation Partner with product management throughout roadmap planning, understanding enterprise business priorities and impact Perform other tasks as required
