Technical Business Analyst

Carnival Corporation is looking for a Technical Business Analyst (TBA) to join a multidisciplinary team of construction, IT infrastructure, port operations, and applications professionals in the planning, development, and execution of large-scale IT infrastructure projects. The TBA will be responsible for ensuring the timely and cost-efficient delivery of IT infrastructure that will support internet connectivity for nearly 10 million cruise passengers annually at our 6 existing ports and Celebration Key, our newest destination which is currently in development. The TBA maintains responsibility beyond delivery, providing ongoing support to 7 cruise ports throughout the Caribbean.

Essential Functions:

Support project delivery;

Solicit, document, and gain consensus on project requirements Research and recommend solutions based on requirements Develop infrastructure cost estimates  Create Work Breakdown Structure and task-level project plan  Coordinate resources to ensure project objectives are met, remaining within scope, schedule, and budget Develop and execute project communications plan for all stakeholders; executive-level, working group Document and monitor infrastructure project risks

Post-delivery operational support;

Review current support processes for opportunities to improve productivity, streamline workflows, and reduce cost Lead IT standardization efforts for accounting, email, and inventory solutions deployed across the existing ports Ensure IT lifecycle by creating, tracking, and reporting on IT maintenance schedule, including patching, updates, and end-of-life refresh schedules Onboard/Offboard team members. Setup or decommission user accounts, order necessary hardware, work with new hire to verify required software is installed and test user accounts

Qualifications:

Minimum Education:  Bachelor’s Degree Discipline/Major:  Computer science, information systems, finance or economics Required Certifications:  Project Management Professional (PMP) Required Years and Area of Professional Experience: At least 5 years of experience working in IT support or IT project management Critical Professional Related Technical/Computer Skills: Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills Preferred Education:  Bachelor’s degree Preferred Experience and Type:  IT support, project management, finance Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:  Basic knowledge in networking principles, background in construction a plus. Must possess the persistence to keep initiatives on track, be highly organized, proficient with industry standard tools, work well under pressure, easily adapt to changing requirements, and be a world-class collaborator

Decision-Making:

Tactical:  Decisions focus on intermediate-term issues. The purpose of decisions made at this level are to help move CCL closer to reaching strategic goals. Outcomes are predictable. After a decision is made by Top Executive Leadership, the next phase is to take the needed steps to implement it.  Examples are: The amount of money required to implement, which advertising agency to promote a new service or to provide an incentive plan to employees to encourage increased revenue

Travel:  Less than 25% non-shipboard travel likely

The range for this role’s salary $71,096-$90,000.  Offers to the selected candidates will be made on a fair and equitable basis, taking into account specific job-related skills and experience.
