You Are:

UST is looking for a technical business analyst having following skillset and experience: In this role, you will play a pivotal role in bridging the gap between business needs and technical solutions. You will collaborate closely with business teams, engineering departments, and stakeholders to ensure successful project delivery using agile methodologies. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in business analysis, proficiency in technical tools such as Jira, SQL, and Python, and a proven ability to manage complex data sets and projects.

 

The Opportunity:

·       Facilitate business requirement sessions with stakeholders across the organization, developing comprehensive documentation aligned with business needs.

·       Translate business requirements into functional specifications, working closely with IT resources to design and implement technical solutions.

·       Provide support for incident/defect management for both BAU and project deliveries.

·       Implement best practices to maintain consistency in standards and execution.

·       Analyze and document current business processes and workflows, identifying opportunities for process improvement and automation.

·       Perform data analysis to support decision-making and prioritize project initiatives.

·       Maintain clear communication within the project team and with senior executives and steering committees.

·       Manage vendors effectively to ensure deliverables meet business expectations.

 

This position description identifies the responsibilities and tasks typically associated with the performance of the position. Other relevant essential functions may be required.

 

What You Need:

·       Prior experience as a Business Analyst or similar role, with a focus on technical projects.

·       Strong proficiency in Jira for project tracking, SQL for database management, and Python for scripting and automation.

·       Experience with data analysis and visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI).

·       Solid understanding of formal project management methodologies and the software development lifecycle (SDLC).

·       Excellent problem-solving abilities and a detail-oriented approach to work.

·       Outstanding communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to interact effectively with stakeholders at all levels.

·       Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced environment.

·       2+ years of business analysis experience, preferably in the financial services industry or with annuity products.

·       Familiarity with business analysis concepts (business process modeling, use cases, user stories).

·       Basic understanding of Project Management and SDLC processes.

·       Knowledge/experience with Order Management Systems (OMS) like S&P Global's thinkFolio or Allvue's Everest.

·       Experience with Data Management Platforms, preferably S&P Global’s EDM.

 

Compensation can differ depending on factors including but not limited to the specific office location, role, skill set, education, and level of experience. UST provides a reasonable range of compensation for roles that may be hired in various U.S. markets as set forth below.

Role Location: California

Compensation Range: $70,000-$105,000

 

 

Benefits

Full-time, regular employees accrue a minimum of 10 days of paid vacation per year, receive 6 days of paid sick leave each year (pro-rated for new hires throughout the year), 10 paid holidays, and are eligible for paid bereavement leave and jury duty. They are eligible to participate in the Company’s 401(k) Retirement Plan with employer matching. They and their dependents residing in the US are eligible for medical, dental, and vision insurance, as well as the following Company-paid Employee Only benefits: basic life insurance, accidental death and disability insurance, and short- and long-term disability benefits. Regular employees may purchase additional voluntary short-term disability benefits, and participate in a Health Savings Account (HSA) as well as a Flexible Spending Account (FSA) for healthcare, dependent child care, and/or commuting expenses as allowable under IRS guidelines. Benefits offerings vary in Puerto Rico.

Full-time temporary employees receive 6 days of paid sick leave each year (pro-rated for new hires throughout the year) and are eligible to participate in the Company’s 401(k) program with employer matching. They and their dependents residing in the US are eligible for medical, dental, and vision insurance.

Part-time temporary employees receive 6 days of paid sick leave each year (pro-rated for new hires throughout the year).

All US employees who work in a state or locality with more generous paid sick leave benefits than specified here will receive the benefit of those sick leave laws.
