Technical Business Analyst Position

About This Job

Axos Clearing is seeking a Technical Business Systems Analyst (TBA) with expertise in system analysis of software programs, applications, and web services. This role bridges business requirements and technical delivery, ensuring that product development aligns with Axos Clearing's strategic objectives in financial services. The ideal candidate will work closely with Product, Development, and Architecture teams to define, document, and refine technical solutions, supporting a microservices-based architecture and seamless system integration.

Responsibilities

Collaborate with stakeholders, including the Architecture Team, to document high-level technical specifications and Proof of Concepts (POCs).Work closely with Product BAs to define and document both technical and non-functional requirements.Translate business requirements into user stories and detailed documentation for technical implementation by development teams.Partner with the Software Development Manager and Technical Leads to develop low-level documentation.Serve as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) on specific software systems, providing technical insights to support effective project delivery.Support all phases of the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC), including requirements gathering, testing, deployment, and production support.Maintain organized and up-to-date documentation to ensure technical alignment with system changes.Communicate effectively across teams to foster consistent information sharing and collaboration.Demonstrate strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills, working independently and as part of cross-functional teams.

Requirments:

Bachelor's degree in financial management, engineering, computer science, or a related field.3+ years of experience in technical business analysis, ideally in financial services, securities trading, clearing and settlement, or digital banking.Experience with system analysis of software applications, programs, or web services.Proficiency in the Agile/SCRUM framework, with experience in writing user stories and technical documentation.Hands-on experience across SDLC phases, including requirements gathering, testing, and deployment.Strong written, verbal, and email communication skills, with upper-intermediate English proficiency.Independent, detail-oriented, and highly organized with strong analytical skills.

Preferred:

Familiarity with clearing and settlement back-office systems (e.g., BETA) and investment banking analytics tools (e.g., ThomsonOne).Experience using tools such as Azure DevOps, Figma, and Zeplin.Knowledge or interest in software automated testing.Background or internships in the financial services industry.
