Technical Buyer - Indirect Spend (with Dutch)

About the role:

The role of Technical Buyer - Indirect Spend, will work according to the BC Sourcing Policy for Technical – Indirect Spend and will: 

represent the BC sourcing department in the technical area support indirect technical spending (Opex and Capex), and look for short-term opportunities through spot buy reduction.  collaborate with the business - to give our company a competitive advantage in either technology or cost.

 

Key responsibilities:

Analyze the needs for assigned spending categories. Monitors and reports results and KPIs. Take actions where necessary to improve KPIs. Provide service to internal customers (engineering and maintenance organization, Lab, R&D, HSE, Facility mgmt.) Work on standardization of materials and services, supplier rationalization, implementing purchasing contracts, further streamlining purchasing processes, optimizing purchasing systems (implement catalogs etc.) & spend segmentation Support strategic sourcing initiatives to deliver long-range programs for MRO (Maintenance, Repair, and Operating Supplies) and related capital services. Support a complete follow-up of the entire procure-to-pay process ( p2p) (PO creation- Goods delivery- goods receipts – invoice payment).

 

About you:

Bachelor's  Master's degree in Business Administration, Economics, and/or Accounting. 5 years of experience in a similar role. Fluent in English and Dutch (written and verbal) required. French (written and verbal) is optional. Experience with ERP systems (i.e. Maximo, SAP). Experience in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PPT), Google Suite, BW/BO spend analytics.
