Role Summary

We have an excellent opportunity for an experienced AWS Technical Consultant to join our AWS services team and play a key role in supporting our continued growth plans. These plans aim to solidify our position as a leading global Services partner with AWS. Technical Consultants are expected to routinely act as the lead on large scale, complex projects and provide mentoring to their fellow technical consultants. Our Technical Consultants provide post-sales technical consultancy, undertake delivery and implementation engagements, as well as providing pre-sales qualification and design to consultancy engagements. A typical AWS Technical Consultant will have had five or more years’ experience in a technical consulting type role, with an excellent understanding and experience of delivering AWS centric solutions.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

Working in close collaboration with the local (in-country) AWS sales and technical team, along with the local Regional Service Centre, the core responsibilities of the role include, but not limited to, the following:

Project Delivery

Undertake individual consultancy assignments or work on a project as part of a larger team analysing customer requirements, gathering and analysing data and recommending solutionsTechnically manage the assessment, design, and implementation of solutionsEnsure consultancy assignments are undertaken consistently and with qualityHighlight technical risks so that any Ingram Micro exposure to commercial loss can be minimisedBe familiar, harness, and deliver against key vendor programs including OLA, MAP and WAFRProduce and update assignment documentation as requiredEnsure that hand over to relevant support organisation is successfully completedProvide technical support as requested, for internal and external customersLead and present at customer opportunities and workshop sessions

Pre-Sales, Scoping, and Services Development

Lead, or be part of, customer scoping calls or workshop sessionsLead and contribute to Statement of WorksBuild and maintain a good awareness of the internal SMEs areas of specialismIdentify other Ingram Micro service and sales opportunitiesSupport the development of the regional AWS services propositions, solutions and GTMWork with thought leaders within Ingram Micro to allow for continued success and to help identify areas of potential growth Lead with qualification of designs and opportunities
