CTG is seeking to fill a Technical Consultant Data Security opening for our client in San Antonio, TX. Location: San Antonio, TX Duration: 12 months Duties: Provide technical consultancy for data security solutions, ensuring the protection of sensitive data across various systems and platforms. Implement and manage data security controls in compliance with cybersecurity standards, including PCI DSS and industry best practices. Collaborate with internal teams to identify, assess, and mitigate security risks related to sensitive data. Conduct security assessments and audits to ensure that systems meet compliance requirements and recommend improvements as needed. Support the integration of Alation for sensitive data management and governance. Assist in developing and enforcing data security policies and procedures across the organization. Provide expertise in maintaining and enhancing data protection strategies within the organization’s data management framework. Skills: Strong knowledge of cybersecurity practices, including threat detection, prevention, and response. Expertise in PCI DSS compliance and secure data handling. Hands-on experience with Sensitive Data Management practices. Proficiency in Alation and its integration for data governance and security. Familiarity with data encryption techniques and secure data storage solutions. Experience with security auditing and vulnerability assessments. Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience in technical consulting related to data security. Proven experience in working with PCI DSS and implementing sensitive data management solutions. Experience with data governance platforms like Alation and similar tools. Previous involvement in risk assessment, security audits, and compliance reviews. Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field (or equivalent experience). Relevant certifications (CISSP, CISM, or similar) are a plus. Excellent verbal and written English communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with a diverse group are required.
